
NPC Training recently conducted surveys about their Mobile Mining and Civil School training programs. These are the results.
The Trainer/Assessor at Thiess Tarong rated our trainees as operating at either "excellent" or "very good" levels in all primary areas of their training. This included their comparison to other trainees, their performance at induction, their understanding of the concepts presented to them, and their adjustment to mine lifestyle during on-site training. He rated all the NPC trainees in the "high" range (from a choice of low, medium and high) in the areas of "attitude", "communication", "attentiveness" and "ambition to succeed".
The trainees who completed the six-week Mobile Mining and Civil School program reported being very satisified with the course overall. When asked how they would rate the course overall, 69% rated it "excellent" and 31% rated it "very good". There were no ratings below this level.
In addition, the NPC Mobile Mining and Civil School program rated very well when compared with other Indigenous training opportunities that the participants had experienced, with 72% rating it "better" than other Indigenous-based training they had undertaken and 21% rating it "the same". There were no rating of the program as being "worse" than other Indigenous-based training programs (the remaining 7% of trainees had never undertaken any other form of Indigenous training program).
