Mining and Civil School Programs
NPC's Mobile Mining and Civil School program is a combination of work-readiness training, simulator training and on-site experience.
The innovative mining simulator is a key element in the training, and enables instructors to simulate an on-site mine or civil environment. The simulated environment provides trainees with opportunities to drive haul trucks, loaders, dozers etc., and to confront workplace health and safety issues.
Programs
There are currently two available Mobile Mining and Civil School programs. The first is a one-day introductory program, which is available to high school students and adults. The full eight-week accredited training program is targeted at people who want to move straight into the mining and civil industry as operators. Longer programs can be developed to suit the capacity of trainees.
The Mobile Mining and Civil School also provides screening programs for companies who wish to test the abilities of potential recruits, or to provide refresher courses for long-term employees. We also offer similar short refresher courses for operators who have been out of the industry for some time and who need to update their plant operation skills.
In addition to this, we offer training in emergency procedures, which can be delivered as stand-alone programs if required.
